Imperial War Museum - Duxford
The Imperial War Museum Duxford is Europe’s premier aviation museum and was an active airfield throughout the Second World War. It has preserved hangers – a control tower – operations room, which retain a period atmosphere. You wander round and have close up viewing of historic aircraft.
There are over 180 historic aircraft, some of which are the Spitfire – Hurricane – genuine Luftwaffe Messerschmitt 109 that saw action in the Battle.
